Today we did the beep test for the third time this year. The beep test is a test where you have to run the distance of the gym before you hear a beep or you are out. It is really hard because once you get to the hard levels you are already tired from having ran the rest of the levels. You have to pace yourself so you don’t waste to much energy but you also have to go fast enough that you don’t get eliminated. I beat my other 2 times and got a score of thirteen. I could have went further but the teacher stopped everyone so we had time to play a game.

Last night I got a new game called MLB Perfect Inning. Perfect Inning is a game where you play baseball games and level up you’re team you can pitch and bat and you try to beat other teams in order to win the World Series. I haven’t had the game for long but I already am pretty good at batting and pitching. You collect players and level up as you go but I haven’t got any new players yet. I think this game is really fun and that you will like it if you enjoy baseball or enjoy sports.

Tonight the Nashville Predators play the Pittsburgh Penguins in game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. Pittsburgh had won the first two games of the series at home but then when they went to Nashville for games 3 and 4 they got crushed by the Predators. Nashville has a humongous fan base including loads of country singers since Nashville is the country music capital of the United States. I am cheering for Nashville and I really hope they can win since this is their first time ever in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 5 is really important since if they win game 5 then they will have a 3-2 series lead and then they will need to win one more game and they have only lost one game at home in the entire Stanley Cup Finals. If Pittsburgh wins tonight I don’t think Nashville will be able to win the cup which would kind of suck since they have never won the Stanley Cup. Nashville is still without their number one center Ryan Johansen yet they are still playing really really well. Johansen will be out for the rest of the playoffs. I am really cheering for Nashville to win the cup since I don’t like the Penguins at all. If the Penguins won the cup this year it would be the first time since 1998 that a team has won back to back Stanley Cups. Pittsburgh has played the whole playoffs so far without star defencemen Kris Letang. They are also without forward Patrick Hornquist. Nashville has two players with injuries one is Johansen and the other is Kevin Fiala. The predators played in the Western Conference final without their top two centers but luckily Mike fisher can play now so they just don’t have their number 1 center. Games 3 and 4 in Nashville just so happened to be played on defencemen Roman Josi’s and Centre Mike fisher’s birthday’s.

 

Tonight the Regina Pats are playing the Tri-City Americans. The Regina pats are playing after just trading away year old forward Lane Zablocki, 16 year old prospect defenceman Dawson Barteaux, a first round pick in 2017, one first round pick in either 2018 or 2019, and a conditional third round pick in 2020. Regina acquired 18 year old Josh Mahura, Jeff de Wit, and a conditional third round draft pick in 2019. The Regina Pats have made many other trades this year including trading 18-year-old Riley Woods and 19-year-old Rykr Cole for 19-year-old Wyatt Sloboshan from the Sokane Chiefs. They have also traded 18-year-old forward Luc Smith for 18-year-old Dawson Davidson from The Kamloops Blazers. The pats made one other big trade this year sending defenceman James Hilsendager and prospect forward Eric Gardiner to the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for 17-year-old defenceman Johnathan Smart. I can’t wait to see all the new players tonight when i go to the game. I will really miss some of the players we traded away like Lane Zablocki and Rykr Cole. Hopefully all these trades will work out for the Pats as they try for the memorial cup this year.

Hello today I am going to be talking about hockey. This year I made PeeWee B. My team is the Colts, and we have played two hockey games. We lost both of our games but they were both one goal games. In our first game we played the mustangs and I scored my first goal of the season off of a rebound. We had our second game two days ago where we played the PeeWee B Blues. We lost 6-5 but we played a good game. I also scored the first goal of the game when I passed it out front and it hit the goalie in the back of the skate and went in. This year after the second period of each game we go off the ice and into our dressing rooms while they flood the ice. This year there is a lot of change including more roughness and body contact. Last game against the Blues one of my teammates got hit from behind head first and had to leave the game with a head injury. A couple days ago I got a new game called Don’t Fall In The Hole. The object of the game is to shoot cannonballs at other people’s ships and at packages that give you power ups. There are different maps that you can play on and depending on which map you choose your cannonballs do different stuff. Like for example on one map if you tap the screen over a platform your cannonball will explode the platform and make a hole that other people can knock you into. On all maps if you tap the screen the cannonball will blow up. This game is really fun so you should download it on the App Store. Don’t fall in the hole does have in app purchases so make sure that you really want them before you buy them. That is it for this post, bye.

Today we are going to have reading buddies at the end of the day. My reading buddy is Ainsley she is the sister of the owner of Mikaela’s Blog! Anyways today we will be reading to our buddies and maybe be starting a new project well we’re at it. I can’t wait for reading buddies today since that is also our only library time each week and so I can get some book out well i’m waiting for my buddy. Usually during reading buddies I sit next to Lukas and Jerry who are two of my friends. Their blogs will have a link in my blogroll. This is going to wrap up my blog post so bye.

Last night Team Canada beat Europe in the W.C.H. 5 Minutes in to the first period of the game Canada scores the first goal of the game. It was scored by Sidney Crosby on a nice wrap around that beat Jaroslav Halak. Later in the first with about 2 minutes left Jonathan Toews redirects Matt Duchene’s shot and puts it into the back of the net. It is 2-0 Canada going into the second period of play. At the start of the second period Marian Hossa of team Europe scores on his Chicago Blackhawks teammate from about the goal line. then a bit later in the second period Canada gets their third goal of the game when Roman Josi goes for a slap shot from the blue line and breaks his stick leading to a one on one with Johnathan Toews. Toews fakes a pass to Logan Couture and then shoots the puck past a diving Josi and past Jaroslav Halak. Now going into the third it is 3-1 for Canada. The third period ends up being quite full of penalties but other than that not much happens until there is about 2 and a half minutes left and Bellmare of team Europe trips Brad Marchand of Canada and gets a penalty and at the same time Brad Marchand gets a penalty for embellishment that leads to a great 4 on 4 opportunity for team Canada. Right off the face off at the start of the 4 on 4 Canada’s Jonathan Toews sets the puck up for Logan Couture who fired it past Jaroslav Halak to give Canada a 3 goal lead. Canada held that lead for the rest of the game and went on to win it. That wraps it up for my summary of the Canada vs Europe game in the World Cup of Hockey. Last night in the world cup of hockey Canada eliminated team U.S.A by a score of 4-2. U.S.A will now have to play their last game against Czech Republic on Thursday at 8:00 ET. The U.S.A started off the scoring with Ryan McDonagh, then after Canada’s first time being down by a goal or more so far  these games Canada scored twice in 14 seconds to take the lead 2-1. The 2 goals scored by Canada at that point had been scored by Matt Duchene, and Corey Perry. Corey Perry scored his goal without his stick even touching the puck instead the puck hit him in the stomach off a rebound and went in. Later in the second period of the game Patrice Bergeron scored the third goal for Canada and then Matt Duchene scored his second of the game to give Canada a 4-1 lead over the United States. Then in the third period T.J Oshie scored for the United States to bring them to within 2. When the game was over Canada had won the game 4-2. They have now advanced to the semi-finals and are waiting to learn who they will play. In there semi-final game Canada will be adding Claude Giroux and Jake Muzzin to the lineup. I really hope Canada will win their game in the semi-finals no matter who it is against.
